Football Game

Yesterday was Ryan's first football game of the season and Dillon and I headed out in the scorching heat to watch it. They won big time - 30 to zip!

Ryan's Birthday

I'm a bit behind, but last Wednesday was my nephew's twelfth birthday. His request for a cake was an ice cream cake - chocolate with peanut butter ice cream. I've never made an ice cream cake, but said "sure, why not." Ryan is a big Seattle Seahawks fan, so I decided to make him a Seahawks cake. I wish I had a picture of his face when he first saw the cake because it was really neat to see how surprised he was.

Football Fun

Sunday afternoon we went out to watch the football games. We, along with some of our family and friends, went to a new Irish pub called the Auld Irisher. My little cutie had fun flirting with the waitresses, running around the room we were in, eating ketchup, and most of all sitting on the barstools watching the games with Daddy. And the best part of the day was that my team has moved on to the Super Bowl!

Go Panthers Go! Move People Move!

This morning I am at my nephew Ryan’s football game. (I love laptops!) He had to be here an hour before his game started and when we got here there was a game going on. It was so stinking cute – the players had to be like six! They were so into it! They were rubbing each other s heads after great plays and they run so fast for being so small. My nephew’s game is just starting and I thought that I had picked a good place to set my chair – that is until two groups of people decided that the best place for them to stand was right in front of me! How freaking rude these people are. Now I am stuck getting only the occasional glimpse of the field when they shift their weight. And it’s not like I can even move my chair because over the last hour, all the places have been taken. Sometimes I really hate people! I had also brought my camera to take pictures, but alas, the batteries have perished. Grrrrr

So, now it's halftime and the sea of people standing in my way has cleared. Yeah!

Third Quarter... Now there is some annoying parent from the other team. The other team scored a touchdown and the dad starts yelling over and over "we're not the same team you saw last year, are we?" I want to go smack the guy. Oh, cool, our team has just scored not one, but two touchdowns. Hooray! That shut Mr. Annoying up!
Well, now the game is over and the Panthers have won 49-14! Oh, and by the way, I'm way burned. Ouch!

Go Colts!!

Well, today is the day of the SuperBowl. Superbowl Sunday. I for one am excited this year. I actually care who wins today because one of my favorite teams and quarterbacks is playing. I am rooting for... you guessed it - Peyton Manning and the Colts. I say one of my favorite teams because I have 2. I am a through and through Tom Brady lover. In fact, I would leave Jason in a heartbeat for him and Jason knows it (don't feel too bad for him though - he would leave me even faster for Kelly Clarkson :))
But, today, it's all about the Colts. Peyton was my fantasy football quarterback all season and he led me and my team - the Dillonators - to the fantasy football superbowl and we won!! Me, the only girl, beat all the boys - Thanks in part to Mr. Manning! So today, I hope that he can do it again - this time for real!! That guy deserves a Superbowl ring. He truly is one of the best players ever. Lets just hope the the Indy defense shows up to the game.
And with that I am off to get ready to go to our Superbowl party, where this year, I will enjoy the game and not just the commercials.
