Fourth of July Yummies

I did a lot of baking for the Fourth of July. I baked a two layer fondant covered cake, four dozen cupcakes and mini brownies that were topped with red, white and blue vanilla candy stars. The cake and brownies were for our party and I made the cupcakes for my cousin to take to a party she was going to. I love how the cupcakes turned out.

Fourth Of July Getaway

For the Fourth of July, Jason, Dillon and I headed up to spend the long weekend at my mom's. It was so nice - we headed up on Wednesday and came home on Sunday. We had a great time visiting, playing, relaxing, bowling and watching fireworks. Dillon absolutely loved the fireworks. He kept shouting "more irewooks daddy" and was even holding sparklers. He was so worn out after all the excitement that he actually fell asleep while I was holding him - he hasn't done that since he was an itty-bitty. It truly was the best Fourth of July I've had - probably ever.
