Fall Fun

I can't believe that it is already the end of November and I have yet to even post Halloween pictures. I've been so busy lately that I've been going to bed by nine! What an old lady! So, since I have once again gone forever without a post, here are some of the highlights...

At the beginning of October, Dillon and I went to the pumpkin patch with my mom's group from Church. Dillon had a blast jumping in all the different bounce houses and riding on the "ATV" train. He did not like the petting zoo at all. He went in and then wanted right back out.

Next up was a dinner to celebrate my brother's engagement! I am so excited that he is getting married - I love my future sister-in-law and am so lucky that she is going to officially going to be a part of our family!

And finally, it was Halloween and Dillon got his first experience with Trick-or-treating. He told us that he wanted to be a skeleton for Halloween, so that's what we got him. I found a pair of skeleton jammies at Gymboree for ten bucks! How perfect - he can wear his costume over and over. He was such a cute little skeleton. When we started out trick-or-treating we didn't think to bring the stroller and by the time we got to the end of our street Dillon said that he was done. We went home and got the stroller and he was ready to go again... but after ten minutes he was finished. He said that he just wanted to go home. I'm sure next year it will be a totally different story.

Happy Halloween

Dillon had a very productive night Trick-or-treating. My mom came down for the weekend and with her she brought some very yummy cookies. Our first stop of the night was Jason's mom and dad's house where Dillon loaded up his pumpkin with candy - including a GIANT Hershey bar. Then Jason's sister came by to see our little monkey and she brought him more candy (and a baseball and bat). Next we dropped by Jason's brother's house where Dillon got more candy and some glow sticks. Our last stop of the night was Derek and Susan's house. Ryan, Jason and Derek took Dillon around to a few houses. They stopped at one of Derek's friends houses and he let Dillon take as much candy as he wanted. The kid made out like a bandit (or should I say that mommy and daddy made out like bandits?).

Pumpkin Carving

Tonight we carved pumpkins with Dillon. Dillon got to help design his pumpkin - I asked him what shape eyes he wanted and on a piece of paper I drew five different mouths and had him pick one. He was really excited to be helping. Unfortunately, I didn't get any "action shots" because I was too busy scooping the guts out of both pumpkins.
And the best part of carving pumpkins? The roasted seeds, of course...

Halloween Party

In both of the Mommy and Me classes that I take with Dillon they had little Halloween parties. We all brought some munchies and the kids went trick-or-treating in the office. It was so cute seeing all the little ones dressed up. I was so proud of Dillon when he passed over the candy and opted for a bag of pretzels. Definitely doesn't take after his Mommy.

Halloween Time

We have been wanting to go to Disneyland to see all the Halloween decorations, so we headed over there this afternoon. It was the perfect day to go - the place was practically empty. The lines were so short that we just walked on the rides. In the few hours that we were there, we rode so many rides that Dillon said, "No more rides." He wanted to go in the Tiki Room and then go home. So that's just what we did.

"I want to go on that ride!"

"i have to wash my hands"

Pumpkin Patch Fun

Today we took Dillon to the pumpkin patch. He had so much fun picking up pumpkins, riding the train, running around and posing in the picture cutouts. The kid however would not look at me long enough for me to take a decent picture. Oh well...
