The Kitchen

Jason & I bought our house almost 4 years ago. The house was great - except for the Kitchen. Our kitchen has to be one of the ugliest kitchens ever. EVER! The oven the house came with doesn't really work that great (I use it for storage), the stove that came with the house caught on fire after we lived here for like 3 weeks (it was Jason's fault, but still), the dishwasher sucked and I swear that the dishes came out dirtier than they were put in. There is practically no storage (which is why I use the old ovens) and the storage we do have is really small and I have to store our larger platters and such in the linen closets. And I forgot to mention that our washer and dryer are in the kitchen, too (so, as we like to joke, we get lint in our food and food on the clean clothes). We said "oh, we'll get the kitchen remodeled in a year" well, like I said Jason & I bought our house almost 4 years ago and we still have the same ugly kitchen.

Well, all of this is about to change and I am so thrilled. As someone who loves to cook, I will finally be getting a "decent" kitchen. OK, so it will be more than decent - It will be AWESOME! We met with the designer last night and they are coming out Friday to do the measurements. The ball is rolling, the tables are turning, the wheels are in motion and I couldn't be happier! If everything goes right, I should have my new dream kitchen by the end of April. April! that seems so far away, but when you've waited almost 4 years, what's 3 more months.

(I will post some pictures of the ugliness that is my kitchen later. The batteries in my camera have died and I need to charge it up.)

My Blog

So I've become very into reading blogs. There are some blogs that I read on a daily basis. Some people I know and some I don't. Doesn't matter. So I have decided to make my own blog. I thought why not? My goal is to post at least once a week, but I will post whenever I have something to say. My posts will be about things in my life, about Jason, Dillon, or whatever randomness comes to mind. I hope you will enjoy reading my blog, just as I enjoy reading blogs of other people.
